Run the AAOS method on your work
- Diagnose: define what you need to understand, produce, or practice.
- Activate: choose the AI role, prompt, source boundary, and learning constraint.
- Control: check accuracy, bias, citation, privacy, and whether the work still measures your understanding.
- Execute: draft, ground, validate, revise, and record the useful result.
- Measure and scale: compare your correction load and transfer to a new task before reusing the routine.
For a consequential submission or handoff, create a lightweight Learning Integrity Packet: outcome, assumptions, evidence, validation status, ownership, and risk.
What good looks like
- You can explain the idea without repeating the AI response.
- Your sources, assumptions, and AI contribution are visible where required.
- You can identify what AI got wrong or left unresolved.
- You can transfer the learning to a new problem, discussion, or assignment.
Avoid this
Do not mistake polished output or tool fluency for mastery. If AI removes every productive struggle, redesign the interaction so your understanding remains observable.
